Eating was very good today. I am actually a bit sore from all the walking on the sand yesterday, but still did some time on the stepper and some ab work.

Eating was pretty good today. I had to approximate calories on a few things but all in all was a good day. I walked quite a bit today at the beach and a bit around the neighborhood, as it was gorgeous and very warm for the end of November.

Eating was back on track today and feels really good. I figured I’d blog today on today and if anything changes I can report it tomorrow.

I had a nice workout on the stepper and also did some upper body strength training. That felt good as well. I must just make it part of my day – part of the routine.

Eating has been a bit of a disaster with the holidays; actually all the goals went to hell the past couple of days. I am back to recording everything today! The next thing I have to do is weigh in & see what the damages have been.

I did start my hour of moving yesterday and that felt good. I have an upper body, lower body & abs routine done with weights that incorporates cardio and strength training. It is kinda fun to change it up a bit. I do plan to still do the stepper and lifting, I just wanted to have some more variety.

Since I have not gotten back into the swing of working out, I am changing my goals up a bit.

Instead of Stepper and Lifting, I am going to incorporate 1 hour of moving per day between 6 and 7:00 pm. I need to change my mindset so that this just becomes part of my routine… It can be anything from stepping to lifting to a workout tape. I am going to see about getting others to do this as well but I will be doing this either way.

My eating is really much improved and I am pleased about that. I feel better eating lighter. The workouts on the other hand need to be the focal point. Yesterday I had a bad headache that seemed to get worse as the day progressed. A definite change in the weather may be the culprit. I did attempt to do the stepper but my headache worsened with the exercise so I stopped. Glad I tried it. Today I still have the headache but feel like it is on its’ way out.. Good riddance!!!

Since I started these daily goals my eating is much improved. I feel a lot better when I keep my calories and refined carbs in check. I need to work on consistently working out but that will come, I am sure of it 🙂

All in all not a bad day.. still needs improvement – Having a good day today which I will report tomorrow.

It has been a week since my last post and in terms of the goals I set up… well…on the bright side…I will definitely do better this week.

Here are the results:

1. Record everything – check – did this every day. In terms of the 1200 calories I had 5 days around that area and 2 days at maintain calories.

2. Limit refined carbs to 200-300 calories – only accomplished this on 2 days. I know this is an issue I have. I have to work on more balanced eating. Just because the calories are lose or maintain calories doesn’t mean I am eating properly

3. After 8:00 pm – liquids/high fiber foods – I did this 4 of the 7 days but I am improving my mindset to be conscious of 8:00 pm being the cutoff

4. Bed by 10:30-11:00 pm – I was actually in bed 6 of the 7 days by this time. I don’t necessarily fall asleep and occasionally I get up but I am working on this. If I go to bed early, it helps with my night eating which has always been an issue for me.

5. Stepper – 5 – 6 days – ugh – only did 2 days

6. Lifting – FAIL

Ok so I definitely need to kick myself in the butt and work on these goals. I am going to keep these same goals, however, I will do a check off daily in the evenings on what I have accomplished!

All in all it was a good week. I was extremely busy and I’d like to say that is why I didn’t accomplish my goals but I am not going there. I am starting my new week today and look forward to better results!
